My name is Andria & I’m a qualified Naturopath, Iridologist and Educator. I have been teaching since 2004 & recently retired. I received my Iridology qualifications in 2011. I graduated with an Advanced Diploma in Naturopathy in 2018. I established Dragonfly Holistic Health in 2019. In 2023 I completed my Bachelor of Health Science Naturopathy.
My passion is working with mums and kids of all ages.
I was a first time mum and I remember watching my six month old suffer with eczema, allergies, mucous build-up and recurring flu. It broke my heart and made me feel helpless. The mum guilt was real, I felt like a failure, and that I was failing my son. I knew I had to do something about it.
I can remember the number of nights we spent in and out of hospital because of his eczema and allergies. We tried cream after cream with no success. One cream changed the colour of his skin.
The sleepless nights was due to him vomiting phlegm to remove the excess mucous build-up. This was like clockwork every 2-3 months for 1-2 nights. He had constant dark circles under his eyes. Watching my son suffer was so painful I can still feel it in my heart.
The number of days I stayed home from work to care for him exceeded my yearly sick leave allowance. So YES it was a lot.
Before falling pregnant with my son I was health conscious and was selective with my use of medication. I was aware of not self medicating and over medicating. I wanted to continue this for his treatment, but I did find it hard. I didn’t have the knowledge to care for him, the way I would like, natural as possible. I knew I needed help.
So I took him to a naturopath. That's when the support for healing began.
Watching my son's health improve every single day and his eczema, mucus build-up and recurring illness STOP, that was everything for me, and NOW my mission is to share what I’ve learnt so there is no more mum guilt.

Then I realised I NEED to look after me, too.
For years, my focus was on my family. Like so many mums, I became very good at putting everyone else first.
I was the one making the appointments, caring for the kids, working, managing the household and trying to keep everything moving. I thought being strong meant just keeping going.
Until eventually, my own health started telling me otherwise.
I experienced burnout, struggled with my mental and physical wellbeing, and realised that knowing what to do and actually having the capacity to do it are two very different things.
I had spent so much time learning how to support my children, but I hadn't always given myself the same care and attention.
That experience changed the way I looked at health.
I began to understand that health isn't simply about treating a symptom or finding the perfect supplement. It's about the whole person — our bodies, our minds, our nervous system, our relationships, our environment, our experiences and the choices we make every day.
It also taught me something important:
You can't pour from an empty cup.
My journey has given me a deeper understanding of what it feels like to be the person searching for answers, feeling overwhelmed by conflicting information and wondering whether you're doing enough.
That's why my work today is about more than naturopathy.
It's about education, understanding and helping people feel empowered in their own health journey.
I don't believe there is one perfect way to be healthy. I believe there is your way — and my role is to help you understand your options, find what fits your life and make choices you feel confident owning.
Because I've been the mum who felt helpless.
I've been the woman who put herself last.
And I've learnt that looking after yourself isn't selfish — it's part of looking after the people and life you love.
That's the heart behind my work today.
Until you're sick.
Then you realise there was only ever one thing that was important.
Your health."
